Happy May!

It's been quite a month for me so far! Life has been going great, I finished school, although I am still waiting for all the grades to be posted, so far it looks pretty good! This month Andrew and I also embarked on a journey of eating clean. We're following primal, which is a less strict version of paleo and it's going great! We have changed our eating habits quite a bit! We're eating a lot less dairy then we used to. The only dairy I really have is 1/2 cup a yogurt and 1 cup of unsweetened almond milk that I put in my morning smoothie! We eat a LOT of eggs. This week I was smart and bought about 4 dozen eggs and we've already gone through 1 dozen! I'm trying to hit up the gym 3-4 times a week!

My last weigh in for April was: 275.
This past Friday I weighed in at: 269.8!

I've already lost about 5 pounds this month, I am also measuring myself now, I'll list the measurements below!!

Beginning of May: 
Arms: 15 (R) 15.5 (L)

A total of 10 inches lost so far for the month of May, which is awesome! Also a NSV for me is that my bra size has decreased a little bit! I started in a 44 or a 42 and now I'm down to a 38! Slowly but surely getting to the numbers where it's easier to find cute bras!

Weigh in Saturday!

So very close to the 260's! I gained last week and didn't log it, two weeks ago I was 273.8 so I have lost the gain from the week prior along with an extra pound! Woo-hoo! So excited! I'm very proud of how well I am doing this year, I'm not back to my lowest from last year, but I am on my journey there! My goal is to lose 5 pounds this month, currently I am a bit behind so I really hope I'm able to kick some butt the next few weeks! Since I've re-joined the gym, getting in my cardio a few times a week seems to really help things! Also changing up my breakfast for the week might help as well, since I have invested in some delicious quest bars. Also last week was a bit difficult with it being the week after Easter and I probably had more chocolate then I should have! I'm also proud to admit that my pop addiction is no longer an addition, I do still drink it about once a week, but I don't drink it daily like I did for so many, many years!

Meal Plans

I honestly don't know why I even bother making a meal plan, since I never seem to stick with it, but here are the meal ideas for the coming week. 

Pulled BBQ sandwiches (planning on prepping/making this tomorrow in the crockpot!)
Glazed Pork Chops
Baked breaded chicken
Chicken Taco Salad 


Those are my current plans/ideas. I also bought quest bars for my breakfast, since I work early I tend to try and take something easy to eat on the road. I haven't been eating clif bars since they are high in sugar, but quest bars have 20 grams of protein in them and only 2 grams of sugar and they are SUPER good! Sprouts had them on sale 2/$3 this week which is super good, considering they are normally $2.39. I also bought some alexia brand fries. They are organic and supposed to be delicious. Also less calories then the fries I normally buy at the grocery store, so I am excited to try them! I went to the gym this past week on Saturday, Wednesday, and Thursday. Today I was just feeling off so I didn't end up going. I'm trying really hard to go 3 days a week. I'll probably increase how often I go once school is done, but trying to mix school, work, and gym time is gonna difficult. Plus both my classes have two huge projects that are due in the next few weeks of class, so that's fun. I'll be off for the summer! I have a goal weight in mind for my birthday this year, but I am also constantly reminding myself that this is NOT a race.

March Update!

For the month of March I lost 5.4 pounds! My scale is moving in the right direction! I have also re-joined the gym and am trying to go 3 times a week! School, work, and gym take up all my time so I'm trying not to over do it! Last weekend I went to the zoo and hit my highest step count of about 16,000 steps! Next weekend Andrew and I might be going back to the zoo for our 6 year anniversary. We haven't been to the zoo together since 2011 when my parents visited, so it would be a ton of fun! 

My goal for April is to lose another 5 pounds and to continue to improve myself at the gym. My top favorite machine right now is the elliptical. Right now I can do 2.43 miles in 35 minutes, which is a pretty awesome improvement from when I use to barely be able to do 5 minutes! lol!

Happy March!

Off to a good start for this month! Goal is to be 273 by the end of the month, if I'm lower then that, well then that would be cool too! Last week I hit my goal for my 10,000 steps, 5 days! Which is completely a huge accomplishment for me! This week I'm doing 10,000 steps on Monday-Friday. Also, we're trying to keep from eating out. We're going to allow it twice a month. So that'll be a challenge because some days I just do not want to cook! I've also discovered the little potato company, they are sold at Sprouts and omg! SO GOOD! I love potatoes, but I don't buy a big bag of them because Andrew doesn't eat potatoes, so it's pointless to buy a big bag of them! I still drink soda, but not nearly as much as I used to. It's maybe 1-2 times a week, if that. I don't crave it nearly as much as I used to! Baby steps. I am loving how much more motivated I am and serious about my weight loss. For the year my goal is to lose 5 pounds a month. Currently I am 5 pounds behind since I didn't lose in February.

January Goals!

So my goals in January were the following: 

-Drink 64oz of water daily
-Increase intake of fruit and veggies
-Lose 7-10 pounds by Feb 1st.



My weigh in days are Saturday's, so I weighed in yesterday.

1/2/15: 281.4
1/31/15: 276.2

I lost a total of 5.2 pounds in January! Now, that's a little short of what my GOAL was, but I am happy that I was able to basically lose 1 pound a week! I also did succeed in upping my fruit/veggie intake. I'm still working on it, but I am trying to have more fruits and veggies with my lunch and for my snacks! I drink anywhere from 50-70oz a day, depending on if I am at work or at home. I also have barely had any soda in the month of January, which is HUGE for me. I have been a coke a day kinda girl for a long time and I haven't had a coke since Jan 1st! I've had sprite a couple times this month, but that's it! So this is a bit of a huge deal. 


Also my awesome boyfriend bought me a fitness tracker, which is really helping me with being motivated to work out, now if it just wasn't so freakin' cold than that would be EVEN better!!

Thoughtful Thursday


1. List three things that you don’t need, but that you wouldn’t want to live without. My computer, my phone, and my daily jewerly( I feel naked without my ring and bracelet!) 
2. What is your favorite/least favorite household chore? I don't mind doing dishes, but I hate vacuuming! 
3. Tell us about your hobbies (things that you do to relax, to have fun, etc.) I love to read, bake, surf the web on my computer, play my wii u, and watch too much netflix. 
4. What’s your favorite holiday, and why? Christmas. I love getting together with the family. I love seeing the kids open their gifts and I just love everyone being together and the love that surrounds everyone! 
5. It’s Wednesday night. What will you do to enjoy yourself? Well, on most Wednesdays, I come home from work, make dinner, do some homework, hopefully do some Just Dance for exercise, take a shower, and go to bed. Nothing too eventful! :)  
6. Share at least three things that you like about yourself. I like to inspire people, I like my bubbly personality, and I like my smile/laugh. 


7. What are you looking forward to doing most over the coming weekend? I am looking forward to feeling better! I went to the doctors today and found out I have bronchitis so my plans this weekend are to get better and to do homework!  
8. Did you make any goals for January? If so, how are they coming along? I did. My big goal for January was to lose 7-10 pounds. So far I am down 2.6, so hopefully I see a decent loss this week so that I can at least make the 7 pound goal! 
9. Are you in a relationship? Yes, I am. I have been with my boyfriend, Andrew, for the past 5 and a half years. Our 6 year anniversary is in April. 
10. What is your favorite TV channel? I don't have cable, but most the shows I watch are on the CW.
