Back On Track Again!

This past week I have been happily back on track. For workouts I am currently doing the walk away the pounds videos. I did it five times this past week. I'm completely back on Weight Watchers, although I'm just doing it myself at home since I can't afford to join the meetings or online at the moment. Weight Watchers is what works best for me. Counting calories just doesn't do it, but I am also using my fitness pal in order to keep track of my exercises and my weight loss. A few months ago I had lost 31 pounds and now I am down 21 pounds again. Almost back to where I was a few months ago makes me happy!!

Happy August!

Happy August 1st!

I weighed in today, because it's the beginning of a new month, I will also be weighing in on Monday since that day is indeed my weigh in day, BUT here is to my stats from July 7 to August 1st.

7.7.14: 273.6
8.1.14: 266.4

I lost a whopping 7.2 pounds in the month of July! It has been months and months since I have seen such a decent amount of weight lost in a month! I am so thrilled with the results. In the month of July I worked out 443 minutes of 7.38 hours. Pretty fantastic for a girl who before July wasn't even working out 30 minutes a week, lol!! I am very excited with my results. I finally squeeze into the size 18 jeans I have had since 2011 when my mom gave them to me! I have the goal to be 250 by the time I go home for a visit in September, I honestly don't remember the last time I weighed that much, but I am ready! I am getting so close to that 50 pound marker! It is so freakin' excited!!

August Goals:

-Only ONE pop a week. (so far I am on day 3 of no soda!)
-Eat more veggies!
-Continue to COOK during the week
-Continue to work out 3 days a week.
-Continue to UP my resistance on the treadmill.

Monday Weigh In.

SW: 301.4

I lost 1.8 since my "Sunday" weigh in, where I was just weighing in to see where I stood. Monday will be my official weigh in day! I have also lost 29.6 pounds all together! I'm almost back to where I was a few months ago, so that is pretty exciting! 

Today I went and got my workout in with a good friend! I am proud to say that I exceeded myself in my workout. Last time I went by myself I could only manage 5 minutes on the elliptical. Today I managed to do 15 minutes on the treadmill, I attempted a stationary bike for about 3 minutes and wasn't feeling it, so then I went to the elliptical where I ended up doing it for TWELVE minutes! WOOHOO! Now I wasn't exactly going super fast the entire time, but I felt so very awesome and proud of how much I was able to do! 

I also went grocery shopping and am pretty proud of how well I did with buying healthy things. Now I just have to make sure I don't go after junk food or pop this week! Time to wean myself off the pop again. It's so frustrating that everytime I get rid of the addiction I manage to bring it back! No good.

What are some of your goals this week?

My goal is to work out 4 days this week. I've done Sunday and Tuesday so far. I wasn't able to go Monday due to a terrible storm on my way home. I will be going Wensday and Thursday though! Friday and Saturday they are closed early so I won't be able to go as they will be closed before I get out of work.

Well hello there July.

I joined Planet Fitness today! I have never been very big on gyms, but this one I actually really enjoyed. I am also enjoying that I feel pretty good and motivated again.. Due to some recent personal events I haven't felt very motivated to focus on my health or losing weight. However, I definitely feel re-motivated. So today I made the decision to join Planet Fitness. A new one just opened up and it is right on my way home from work, so it's a really good location for me. My plan is to get into the routine of working out after I get off of work. Since they close early on Friday and Saturday those will have to be my two "rest" days. Today I did 5 minutes on the elliptical, 5 minutes on the treadmill at 2.0 (for my warm up and cool down) and 20 minutes at the pace of 3.0. So I am pretty happy with that! 

I weighed in today to track my new "starting" weight on my fitness pal. I am planning on weighing in on Monday's.

An introduction...

I'm Jess. I'm 24. I work full time for a security company. Those of you who are reading this and know me, know that I have been on my own personal weight loss journey since last March. I am currently down 33 pounds. Along with many, many inches. If I had been thinking, I would have logged the inches as the months went by, but I have simply gone by how my clothes fit. I started out in a size 26 jeans and a size 3-4xl shirt. Currently I am in a size 18-22 depending on what brand of jeans I wear and my shirts are 1-2xl also depending on what brand I wear. I formerly did have a weight loss blog, but due to some rude anonymous comments, I deleted it.They had nothing to do with my weight loss journey, but some personal issues and I got upset and decided I didn't want to tell the world anything about myself anymore. So 4 months later and I am back, because I feel like my journey is worth sharing. I won't lie, I have been terrible with my eating habits and my work out schedule. I have a set schedule now, but it's a late shift. I'm currently working 3:30-12am and I am not used to it AT ALL. However, after next Tuesday I will be working 1:30-10pm and that will be way more manageable! In the coming months I'll have the finances to become an official member of weight watchers and I am excited! I plan on attending meetings on one of my two days off and getting the online tools. My exercise plan is currently the walk away the pounds videos with Leslie Sansone. They're not too complicated and they get me moving. Eventually I would like to start jogging, but that's pretty far off at this point in time!!
